In line with the process for the replacement of the retired President of the Court, the Honourable Justice Abaazi Musa Abubakar Saddeeq, FICMC, the Nigerian Bar Association through its President, Mr Yakubu Maikyau, SAN has written to request for comments from members.
Maikyau said that he had received a letter on the 20th of October 2022 from the Chief Judge of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Chairman of the Judicial Service Commission of the FCT, a shortlist of Judges for appointment as President of the Customary Court of Appeal of the FCT.
He implore members of the Bar to send in their comments on the suitability or otherwise of the underlisted Judges, who are being considered for appointment as
President of the Customary Court of Appeal of the Federal Capital Territory.
The shortlisted names are; Hon Justice Stanley Adekunle Lawal, Hon. Justice Ngozika Uwazuruonye Okaisabor (Nee Aguta) and Hon. Justice Istifanus Gandu
