Chris Abhulimen is an Electronic Engineer, a Digital Inclusion Evangelist, Business and Ideas Incubator and a leading Government Digital Transformation expert. Chris has extensive industry experience and has obtained several professional certifications in Microsoft, Cisco, and Project Management and has a passion for solving industry problems while leading Digitalization and Transformation projects for Private and Public Sectors.
Chris has dedicated the last 20 years of his career to solving complex problems with simple digital solutions. This is evidenced by his innovative creation of multimodal applications and services leveraging the channels of Mobile Apps/SMS/USSD/IVR to resolve the digital exclusion caused by the limited nature of 3G/4G internet network. He has obtained 2 technology patents in Digital Inclusion Solutions namely the ‘Airtime Exchange’ and the Micro Mobile Health Insurance Solution. Chris is a co-founder and visioner of e-Scape. He volunteers for a Non-Governmental Organization called the NESG (Nigerian Economic Summit Group), later transformed into the E-Governance Thematic Group, where he setup the first Public-Private-Professionals-Platform made up of 25 public and private sector tech professionals and led the review of all the ICT Policies in Nigeria to help drive government E-Government Initiatives as well as the Nigerian Digital Economy Policy and Strategy. Chris spearheaded the project to develop the Abridged version of the Nigeria E-Government Masterplan in 2019 and later the Nigeria Digital Economy Policy and Strategy. He led key government initiative for digital innovation such the Memo that was approved by the National Council on Communications and Digital Economy which led to the setting up of the first Digital Economy Industry Group (DEIWG).
Chris is a Digital Inventor, Innovator and Leader. He is on the National Assembly Business Environment Roundtable (NASSBER) as a thematic expert; a member Innovation and IP Thematic Groups and has recently been nominated into the State Adoption Board for the Nigeria Startup Act.
Chris will be a Panelist on the Second session alongside other erudite Speakers.
