On November 16, a dramatic incident was captured on camera at the family division of Milimani Law Court, where a city attorney physically attacked a businessman who was being sued by his estranged wife for child support.
The former spouse of Robert Asembo’s client, who was also a government employee, was beaten and kicked outside the chamber of the presiding magistrate, Robert Mbogo.
Asembo’s client was demanding over Ksh600,000 in child upkeep from the businessman.
The fight broke out as they waited outside the corridors, shortly after the lawyer accused the businessman of inviting some media personnel to cover the matter to the detriment of his client.
After the assault, Asembo, who is a former AFC chairman and former FKF Vice-chair, immediately left.
