Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State has issued an order for Mmesoma Ejikeme, a student at Anglican Girls Secondary School in Nnewi, who has been involved in a controversy regarding her JAMB score, to undergo counseling.
In a letter addressed to the principal of Anglican Girls Secondary School Nnewi, Governor Soludo emphasized the immediate initiation of psychological counseling and therapy sessions for Ejikeme.
The student had admitted to manipulating her JAMB results, claiming a score of 362, which was the highest in the country.
Governor Soludo directed that the 19-year-old student be entrusted to the care of a Professor of Clinical Psychology, as stated in a letter signed by the Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh.
Chuma-Udeh said, “The directive is in line with one of the recommendations of the committee set up by the Anambra State Government to investigate the matter, following the parading of the fake results, which elicited interests and generated controversy and misgivings.”
