Chief Chijioke Edeoga, the governorship candidate of the Labour Party for Enugu State has been sacked by a Federal High Court in Abuja.
One of the aspirants, Chief Evarest Nnaji, had approached the Abuja court to contest the May primary election that produced Edeoga as the party’s candidate.
The primary election was dismissed by Justice Evelyn Maha who had ordered the party to conduct a fresh primary election within 14 days.
Both Nnaji and Edeoga were members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) but decamped some months ago to contest for the LP ticket for the gubernatorial elections.
