The Practical Training Academy (TPTA), in collaboration with Hubtal, has announced a free virtual training programme aimed at equipping lawyers with the knowledge and skills required to navigate the growing influence of artificial intelligence in legal practice.
The training, themed “AI and the Next Generation of Lawyers,” is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, 15 July 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (WAT) via Zoom. The session will examine how artificial intelligence is reshaping legal services, creating new opportunities for lawyers, and transforming the future of the profession.
Participants will hear from a distinguished panel comprising Rotimi Ogunyemi, Partner at BOC Legal and Technology Attorney; Oluwafemi Ogunsola, Chief Technology Officer at Hubtal; and Sophia Idemudia, LLM Research Manager at Hubtal. The programme will be convened by Tobenna Erojikwe, Partner at The Law Crest LLP and Chairman of TPTA.
According to the organisers, the training is free of charge and has received approval from the NBA Institute of Continuing Legal Education (NBA-ICLE), with participants eligible to earn one Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credit point. The initiative forms part of TPTA’s ongoing commitment to preparing Nigerian lawyers for the evolving legal landscape by providing practical training in emerging areas of legal practice and technology.
