Engr. Sanusi Aminu Yero, FNSE, B.Engr. (Mech.), MNIMechE, FPMC, MCIPSN, FACPM, PIA, is Director General of the Kaduna State Public Procurement Authority, a remarkable leader and accomplished engineer who has made significant contributions to Nigeria’s engineering and procurement sector. Born into Zaria’s scholarly and illustrious Yero family, he holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bayero University Kano.
He has worked with reputable organisations including the Bureau of Budget Implementation, where he served as Principal Mechanical Engineer for ten years. His dedication to public service has earned him special assignments from Nigeria’s Federal and State governments, including as Chairman of the Executive Council Committee on the Review of Contract Prices and as a member of the Presidential Project Monitoring Team.
Engr. Yero is a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, the African College of Project Management, and the Institute of Mentoring and Career Coaching Nigeria, and a member of several professional bodies including COREN, NIMechE, and CIPSN. He was also awarded “Paragon of Integrity and Accountability” by the Centre of Ethics and Self Value Orientation.
Since his appointment as Director General in 2021, he has repositioned the Kaduna State Public Procurement Authority into one of Nigeria’s leading public procurement institutions, with a focus on promoting transparency, accountability and ethical conduct in public service. An avid reader, scholar and teacher, he has attended numerous workshops to hone his administrative, governance and procurement skills, and his achievements stand as a testament to his exceptional leadership, resourcefulness and competence.
