Candidate for the office of General Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Okey Leo Ohagba, has extended warm felicitations to delegates and organisers of the 2026 NBA Western Zone Human Rights Summit holding in Benin City, Edo State. In a goodwill message issued ahead of the summit, Ohagba commended the leadership of the NBA Western Zone, particularly the NBA 2nd Vice President, Mrs. Bolatunmi Animashaun, the Vice Chairmen of branches across the zone, and the host Branch Chairman, Mr. Idemudia Iradia Osifo, for convening the important gathering.
Ohagba described the summit’s theme, “Access to Justice for Women, Children, Victims of Human Trafficking, and Persons Living with Disabilities,” as timely and reflective of the legal profession’s duty to protect vulnerable members of society. He expressed optimism that deliberations at the summit would produce practical solutions, strengthen collaboration between the Bar and law enforcement agencies, and deepen advocacy for equity, inclusion, and social justice across the country.
