The Council of Legal Education has officially announced the commencement of the admission process into the Nigerian Law School for the 2026/2027 Academic Session. In a notice issued by the Management of the Nigerian Law School on Tuesday, July 1, 2026, prospective applicants, universities, and other stakeholders were informed that admissions into the Bar Part II Programme have formally begun. The Council noted that admission for graduates of Nigerian universities will be strictly based on the list of qualified candidates submitted by accredited institutions in line with the approved admission quota.
The Council urged universities to ensure that the details of eligible graduates, including their names, matriculation numbers, and other required particulars, are accurately compiled and submitted to facilitate a seamless admission process. Prospective applicants were also advised to complete their application forms with utmost care, ensuring that their names are correctly spelt and arranged in the proper order, as the use of abbreviations is prohibited. Applicants were further reminded to provide accurate information in every section of the application form.
The Nigerian Law School also cautioned that it will not entertain requests for corrections or amendments to applicants’ details after submissions have been made either by the applicants themselves or by their respective universities. The notice, signed by Aderonke O. Osho, Secretary to the Council and Director of Administration, underscores the importance of accuracy throughout the admission process and calls on all applicants and institutions to strictly adhere to the prescribed guidelines.
