Distinguished Colleagues,
We acknowledge that most branches of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) are in the process of conducting elections into their various Executive Committees.
To this end, kindly take note that there are standing Branch and Sections Appeal Committees empanelled by the NBA President, Mr. Yakubu Chonoko Maikyau, OON, SAN on 29 May 2023.
These committees are “empowered to entertain and resolve complaints and petitions with regards to branches and sections elections respectively, and to give directions and interpretations to guide the conduct of the elections and the qualification or disqualification of candidates to participate in the said elections.”
For the avoidance of doubt, the Notice of Constitution of Branch and Sections Appeal Committees containing the list of the members of the committees is herewith attached.
