The Nigerian Bar Association, under the leadership of the President, Yakubu Chonoko Maikyau, SAN has started the enrollment of additional 1000 legal practitioners under the National Health Insurance Scheme.
According to a statement sighted by Lawhauz, National Welfare Secretary, Chinyere Obasi said that branches have been allotted slots for additional 1000 beneficiaries for the NBA GIFSHIP scheme.

THE ENROLMENT OF ADDITIONAL 1000 BENEFICIARIES UNDER THE NATIONAL HEALTH INSURANCE SCHEME (NBA-NHIS GIFSHIP SCHEME)
Dear Welfare Secretaries,
In line with the mandate of the President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Yakubu Chonoko Maikyau, SAN to enroll additional 1000 legal practitioners under the National Health Insurance Scheme within 60days from 26th August, 2022; I am directed by the President to commence the collation of data for beneficiaries from your branch.
We are pleased to inform you that your branches have been allotted slots for additional 1000 beneficiaries for the NBA GIFSHIP scheme. You are expected to liaise with your Branch Chairman and Secretary for confirmation of same as emails have been sent in this regard.
Kindly note that our physically challenged colleagues have been allotted 100 slots, and as such, you are not required to include them on your list of beneficiaries.
Further note that the deadline for submission of names is 20th September, 2022. The list of beneficiaries and scanned copies of the forms should be forwarded to nbanhis@nigerianbar.org.ng or hard copies submitted to the National Secretariat. Also find attached the e-copy of the customized form and list of accredited health care providers for ease of reference.
