The National Association of Catholic Lawyers (NACL), Lagos Archdiocese, held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) and election of new Executive officers on Sunday, 20 September 2026, bringing the Association’s 2022–2026 administration to a close and ushering in a new leadership.
The AGM formed part of the Association’s end of tenure activities and marked the conclusion of the administration led by the immediate past President, Ms. Florence Atuluku. The occasion provided an opportunity for members to reflect on the activities and progress recorded by the Association over the past four years, while setting the stage for a new administration.
During its tenure, the Atuluku-led Executive worked tirelessly towards strengthening the Association, promoting professional development and fostering fellowship among Catholic lawyers. The administration also advanced the Association’s commitment to the legal profession, the Church and society, while creating opportunities for members to develop professionally and remain grounded in the values of their Catholic faith.
The AGM culminated in the election of a new Executive, with Kenneth Kelle emerging as President of NACL Lagos Archdiocese.

The transition brings to a close four years of dedicated service by the Florence Atuluku-led administration and opens a new chapter in the affairs of NACL Lagos Archdiocese.
As the new Executive assumes responsibility, it is expected to build on the foundation laid by the outgoing administration, further strengthen the Association and create opportunities for Catholic lawyers to contribute meaningfully to the administration of justice and the development of the legal profession.
NACL occupies a unique position at the intersection of faith and the legal profession. Through the Association, Catholic lawyers have an important platform to bring the values of their faith to bear on their professional responsibilities, promoting justice, integrity, service and respect for human dignity, while contributing to the advancement of the Church and the wider society.
