LBC 2026: Panelists to Examine Health Tech Regulation, Investment in Nigeria

The 7th Edition of the Legal Business Conference (LBC) 2026 is set to examine the legal and regulatory challenges shaping Nigeria’s health technology sector, with a focus on investment opportunities and sustainable healthcare innovation.

The discussion will feature prominently at Panel Session One, themed “Navigating Health Tech Regulation and Investment in Nigeria: Legal Pathways to Sustainable Healthcare Innovation,” which will bring together professionals to explore how businesses can navigate regulatory requirements while developing technology-driven healthcare solutions.

The session will consider the growing impact of digital health platforms, telemedicine, health data, artificial intelligence and other technology-driven solutions on healthcare delivery, financing and access in Nigeria. While these innovations are creating new opportunities for the sector, they also present complex regulatory and commercial challenges that require effective legal frameworks.

Discussions will focus on key issues, including regulatory compliance, data protection, intellectual property, licensing, risk management, investment structures and public-private collaboration. The panel will also explore how businesses can remain innovative and investment-ready while complying with the laws governing healthcare technology in the country.

The session will be moderated by Otunba Laolu A. Osanyin, LLM, MCLM, CHP, with Peter Bunor, Dr Eyi uche S.I. Ahanwa, Dr Emmanuel Onyen uche and Joyce N. Eseni, Esq. joining as panellists.

The panel is expected to provide insights into the legal pathways that can support investment, strengthen compliance and promote sustainable growth in Nigeria’s evolving health technology ecosystem.
