Lagos Red line Rail will boost Nigeria economy – Transport minister

During the official commissioning of the Lagos Rail Mass Transit Red Line by President Bola Tinubu, Minister of Transport, Sa’id Alkali, lauded Lagos State for its successful implementation of the Red Line Rail project, citing it as a model of collaboration between federal and state governments.

Alkali stressed on the significance of such collaborative efforts in enhancing the nation’s well-being and economy.

He pledged the Ministry of Transport’s support to the Lagos State government and expressed readiness to work with other state governors to achieve railway connectivity, providing passengers with transportation options.

The minister further urged other states to emulate Lagos, highlighting the importance of infrastructure development and intergovernmental cooperation in advancing transportation systems across the country. This call underscores the broader goal of fostering sustainable development and improving mobility for citizens nationwide.

The minister added, “I assure you that the Federal Ministry of Transportation it’s committed to providing support and expertise to consolidate this laudable achievement.”
