The United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran are set to formally sign a peace agreement on Friday, June 19, in Switzerland, following what mediators described as the conclusion of intensive negotiations aimed at ending months of military hostilities between the two countries and their allies.

“Following intensive talks, we are pleased to announce that the Peace Deal between the United States of America and Islamic Republic of Iran has been REACHED,” Sharif stated, adding that both parties had agreed to the immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon.
