The candidate for the Afikpo North/Afikpo South Federal Constituency, Chief Eni Uduma Chima, and the state’s APC chairman, Chief Stanley Emegha, have been ordered to be arrested and prosecuted for their roles in the murder of three people in Ekoli Edda.
During an on-site evaluation of the extent of the devastation in the area, Governor Umahi issued the directive.
Also, Umahi gave the Commissioner of Police orders to apprehend anyone linked to the atrocities and bring them to justice.
While announcing the suspension of all social gatherings in Edda until normalcy returns, he urged the Commissioner of Police to saturate the area with security presence to forestall further breakdown of law and order.
