Ademola Adeleke, the new governor of Osun State, has commanded that all state accounts be immediately frozen.
After taking the oath of office on Sunday, Adeleke also revoked all appointments made by his predecessor, Adegboyega Oyetola, between July 7, 2022, and the time of his departure.
He also declared the formation of a committee to examine all nominations and offer suggestions.
Recall that Oyetola stirred up some controversy by appointing 30 permanent secretaries just hours before his term was up.
The New Governor has also reversed the Osun appellation from “The State of the Virtues” to “The State of the Living Spring”.
Speaking after taking his oath of office at the Osogbo City Stadium, Adeleke said he was aware of the expectations of Osun residents, promising not to disappoint them.
