Former Senator Dino Melaye Reacts To Buhari’s Signing Of Amended Electoral Bill

A former Kogi West Senator and an astute politician, Dino Melaye, has reacted to the signing of the Electoral Act Amended Bill into law.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday signed the Electoral Act Amendment Bill 2021 into law.

The signing was held at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja at about 12:30 pm in the presence of the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, Mahmood Yakubu; President of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan, among others.

Reacting via his Twitter page on Monday, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain mocked the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its members for failing to commend the President for signing Electoral Act 2022.

The former federal lawmaker said President Buhari has signed the ruling party’s “political obituary”.

He wrote: “Wait ooooo l never see one person in APC commending Mr. President for signing Electoral Act 2022. Oga don sign their political Obituary. Odabo APC…”
