Prof. Wahab Egbewole, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), has congratulated 10 students who obtained first-class honors at the recent bar final exams of the Nigerian Law School.

In a Zoom meeting on Thursday, Egbewole expressed his admiration for the students, emphasizing how they had raised the university’s profile and the reputation of their families.

The VC, who was pleased with the accomplishment, asked them to maintain their composure and not let it get to them.

He additionally counseled them to avoid anything that would prevent them from rising to the top of the legal profession in both their states and all of Nigeria.

This meeting was specifically called to congratulate you on your feat as very good representatives of the University of Ilorin at the Nigerian Law School by coming out with First Class.

“This is a no mean feat especially coming from me who also passed through that place and came out with a Second Class Upper,” he said.

Egebwole also encouraged the students to remain lifetime ambassadors of their school and allow their success to propel them to achieve more.

“We hope that after school, we can still benefit from your engagements,” he added.

One of the First Class graduates, Moshood Abdulmajeed, thanked the VC on his colleagues’ behalf, assuring him of taking pride in being associated with UNILORIN.

Abdulmajeed stated that they would remain good ambassadors of the university where they gained foundational knowledge to achieve the feat at the Nigerian Law School.

Other graduates include Mary Dada, who also emerged as the overall best student in the 2022 Bar Final Examinations; Khadijah Abdulwahab, Grace Awosusi and Tobiloba Joseph.
