Dr . Engr. (Mrs.) Falilat Jimoh, often called Dr. Jimoh is a hybrid technology professional with expertise in Embedded Systems Electronics and Software Engineering, specialising in AI.
Dr Jimoh is a Chartered Information Technology Professional, a Registered Engineer and a PhD holder in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Huddersfield, United Kingdom. She has worked in academia, the private sector, and the public sector.
She joined the Nigeria IT Ecosystem after working as a Research fellow in the United Kingdom with the University of Huddersfield, UK and later as a Research Grant Manager with the European Commission for Science and Technology(ECOST) for four years. Upon her return to the country, she worked on several National IT projects in different capacities and committees.
Upon arrival, she joined The Nigeria Office for ICT Innovation and Entrepreneurship (OIIE) as an Innovation Architect. She supports the creation of strategic ideas and documentation to drive National ICT innovation and digital job creation. To drive programs and policies that support innovation in ICT development, such as innovation-based entrepreneurship and innovation clusters.
She later became an Ecosystem Development Manager for Software and Human Capacity Development for The Office for Nigerian Content Development (ONC). She worked with IT firms and multinationals towards a collaborative effort to promote local applications and build capacity in IT workforce within Nigeria.
She was later deployed to work with Information Technology Infrastructure Solutions as a System Analyst. She technically assesses technology development, deployment, and adoption within IT Regulatory Instruments and organisational processes.
She is presently a Digital Architect Manager at NITDA. She researches, develops, designs and evaluates IT business processes to improve citizenry experience, and increase effectiveness and efficiency in government digitalisation processes for a sustainable digital transformation.
She is also a course writer for MSc and PhD in Artificial Intelligence courses in Nigerian Universities. She is currently a postgraduate facilitator for the Africa Centre of Excellence on Technology Enhanced Learning, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN).
