Appeal Court Judge, Justice Ayobode Lokulo-Sodipe Dies At 67

Justice, Ayobode Olujimi Lokulo-Sodipe,the Court of Appeal’s Akure Division has passed away.

During Monday morning’s preparations for the day’s sitting, he is said to have slumped while donning his Suit. As he apparently passed away on the way to the hospital, it was learned that all attempts to revive him had failed.

Hon. Justice Lokulo-Sodipe (born February 18, 1956) hails from Abeokuta South Local Government Area of Ogun State.

He attended the Abadina Primary School and later University of Ife Staff School, Government College Ibadan (1969-1974) and later the University of Ife (1974-1978).

He was called to the Nigerian Bar at the Victoria Island Lagos on July 17, 1979 and later joined the High Court of Justice, Ogun State on February 10, 1997.

He rose to become the Ag Chief Judge, Ogun State Judiciary before his elevation to the Appeal Court on February 15, 2008.

He is survived by a wife and children.
