Ademola Adeleke Wins Parallel Osun PDP Governorship Primary

Ademola Adeleke has been declared as the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun.

Adeleke won the primary election which was backed by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party.

According to the returning officer and deputy governor of Bayelsa State, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, 1,916 delegates took part in the exercise.

Adeleke had 1,887 votes while his rival, Dotun Babayemi had no vote.

Babayemi earlier won the parallel primary election backed by a former governor of the state, Olagunsoye Oyinlola.

The parallel primaries were held concurrently at the Osun Township Stadium and WOCDIF event centre in Osogbo, the state capital.
