Mr. S.T. Akohol, Esq., the lawyer whose name appeared on a contentious and currently popular quit notice letter, has denied authorship of the document.

Regarding the impersonation of a law firm on a quit notice that is currently going across social media, Senior Advocate of Nigeria J.S. Okutepa, based in Abuja, has raised the alarm.

One S.T. Akohol Esq., who appeared as a lawyer with the law firm of J.S. Okutepa SAN, signed the resignation letter.

In a statement, Mr S.T. Akohol Esq, roundly denied authorship of the letter which was signed with his name.

However, J.S. Okutepa SAN made it clearly known to the public that the Notice did not originate from his office in disclaimer.

J.S. Okutepa SAN, wrote in the statement thus, “It is unfortunate that, your office hard earned reputation and of my humble self is being thrown to the mud by reckless, wicked, defamatory, unprofessional conduct of one of our colleagues vide an offensive document purported to be authored by me and emanating from your Law Firm.”

According to him, the action of the impersonator is reckless, wicked, defame, and unprofessional. He also described the action as unfortunate and expressed readiness to collaborate with the police and the NBA branch to get to the root of the issue.

He added, “It is unfortunate that I have no ideal about the said document whatsoever. I have already got the Police involed and ready to work with the Welfare Committee of the Branch to getting to the root of the issue. It is truly unfortunate sir.”
