I extend my warm congratulations to the Branch Executive Committee, the Planning Committee, and our entire NBA Lagos Branch on the 2025 Annual Law Conference.

As a member and former Chairman of this great branch, the premier bar, I’m proud to see the continued tradition of engaging with the real challenges of our profession. The theme, “Reimagining the Practice of Law: Ethics, Innovation, and the Future of Legal Services,” could not be more timely.

This profession is our livelihood. It must be protected, reformed, and made viable. We must keep asking the right questions, stay open to change, and remain committed to building a practice that works for us and for those we serve.

I encourage everyone attending to make the most of the conversations and connections this conference offers.

Let us, indeed, be lawyers again with purpose, with dignity, and with resolve.
