“WE MUST BEQUEATH TO YOU A BETTER LEGAL PROFESSION” SAYS TOBENNA EROJIKWE AT ABUAD CAREER TALK EVENT

The Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association Institute for Continuing Legal Education (NBA – ICLE) Mr. Tobenna Erojikwe was the Keynote Speaker at the Career Talk Event organized by the Students’ Representative Council of the Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD) held on Monday, 12th February, 2024.

Mr. Erojikwe who has overtime restated his commitment to ensure adequate capacity building amongst lawyers through free qualitative trainings in different areas of law and has demonstrated his commitment to the proper mentoring of what he termed “the future of the legal profession”.

Mr. Erojikwe in his remarks emphasized on securing the future for the next generation of lawyers. Commenting on the theme of the event “Career Craze: Igniting Your Potential”, Mr. Erojikwe commended the organisers and intimated the participants of the vast opportunities in legal practice and how the next generation could harness them.

The event which had participants fill up the Alfa Belgore Hall of ABUAD was historic with the presence of Mr. Erojikwe and also featured very interactive and networking sessions between participants, keynote speakers as well as other guests.

Mr. Erojikwe remarked that reforming the legal profession requires a holistic approach at all levels including the foundational level involving law students at the universities and the Nigerian Law School. The NBA – ICLE had in the past also organized very vital trainings for Law School students and Mr. Erojikwe promised to drive further capacity building at all levels of the profession and his overall commitment to standardization and regulation of legal practice for the benefit of lawyers.
