The Honourable Minister of Women Affairs, Barr. Uju Kennedy Ohanenye, has reassured Nigerians and the community at the University of Calabar of her commitment to seeing that the offender is charged and imprisoned.
No one will escape justice, according to the legal luminary cum politician, who also noted that the sex scandal’s controversy will be zealously investigated until the very end.
This stated by the Minister of Women’s Affairs in a recent interview with Journalists, who also indicated that anyone caught lying about the matter would face serious investigation and prosecution.
The Minister said; “Whoever that lies on the Calabar sexual case will be prosecuted and jailed.”
“I will take up the case personally, I will also make sure anyone involved in lying on the matter go to jail. Not minding the personality involved, whether it is the Vice Chancellor, Professor, or the alleged victim” she said.
It would be recall that the Management of the University of Calabar, UNICAL, have suspended the Dean, Faculty of Law, Prof. Cyril Ndifon, over violation of the provisions of the extant laws and policies of the institution.
