Dear Learned Silk, Seniors & Colleagues,
As we commence the new legal year, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to each and every one of us.
The start of a new legal year is always a significant moment for reflection, growth, and renewed commitment to the values we uphold as legal practitioners. It marks not just the continuation of our professional journeys but the opportunity to elevate the standards of our work and the impact we make within the legal profession, our communities, and the nation at large.
Last year saw remarkable achievements from many of our members, in various spheres of life and contributions to the advancement of the legal profession. As we embark on another chapter, we look forward to new challenges that will undoubtedly help us grow, sharpen our expertise, and further our collective goals as members of the Nigerian Bar Association Lagos Branch
I urge us to remain committed to justice, integrity, and the rule of law, being the bedrock of our noble profession. Your hard work, professionalism, and pursuit of excellence continue to reflect positively on the NBA Lagos Branch, setting a benchmark for others to follow.
As we move forward into this legal year, I encourage everyone to actively participate in the many programs, initiatives, and committees that NBA Lagos Branch has to offer.
Furthermore, kindly be reminded that we are in the Branch’s electoral year. We all need to attend at least 5 (five) meetings to be eligible either as a candidate or as a voter in the Branch elections come June 2025.
Wishing us all a fruitful, rewarding, and successful legal year ahead.
May this year bring us all new victories, expanded knowledge, professional growth, and the strength to meet every challenge with confidence.
Warm regards,
Uchenna Ogunedo Akingbade
