Six new judges in Adamawa State have been inaugurated by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.
The State’s Government House in Yola held the inauguration on Tuesday.
As the last bastion of justice for the average person, the governor tasked the judges with safeguarding the judiciary.
Muhammad Ibrahim Tola, Ahmad Isa, Christopher Dominic Mapeo, and Benjamin Manji were among those who were sworn in as High Court judges.
Yusuf Khalid served as Grand Khadi among the others, while Abdabala Nicholas was sworn in as a judge of the Customary Court.
The Governor congratulated the new Judges for their appointments.
He reminded them of the need to reflect on the oath they have taken.

According to Tukur, Justice Muhammad Tola who spoke on behalf of the newly sworn-in judges commended the governor for his reforms in the state’s judiciary.
The oath of office and allegiance were administered on the new judges by the Acting Chief Judge, Justice Hapsat Abdulrahman.
