The General Counsel Powerlist 2025, hosted by The New Practice (TNP) in collaboration with The Legal 500, brought together Nigeria’s top in-house legal professionals for an evening of recognition and networking. Held at the Lagos Motor Boat Club, Ikoyi, the event celebrated General Counsel (GCs) who have demonstrated excellence and innovation in corporate legal practice.
The ceremony, which commenced at 6:00pm on Thursday, 27 February 2025, welcomed over 100 distinguished guests, including senior legal executives, business leaders, and key stakeholders from various industries. Attendees engaged in insightful discussions about the evolving role of GCs in shaping corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and business strategy.
A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Certificates of Recognition to awardees, acknowledging their remarkable contributions to the legal profession in Nigeria.
The Managing Partner of TNP, Baba Alokolaro, noted that “General Counsel play a pivotal role in navigating today’s complex legal environment. Recognizing their efforts is essential in fostering a strong and resilient legal industry in Nigeria.”
