The Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, announced on Friday that 90 percent of the 260 palliative projects initiated by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration have been completed, with a total value of N208 billion. The disclosure was made during the 2025 ministerial briefings in Abuja.
Umahi emphasized the administration’s commitment to infrastructure development, highlighting the completion of 19 out of 64 new road projects and four legacy projects across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones in the past 23 months. He underscored the critical role of roads and bridges in driving economic growth and boosting the nation’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
“Mr. President’s 260 palliative projects are 90 percent complete, worth N208 billion. Infrastructure is the major sector that grows the economy, and I commend the president for his dedication,” Umahi stated.
