President Bola Tinubu affirmed his commitment to bolstering the education sector during the 8th Convocation Ceremony of Federal University, Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) held in Oye-Ekiti on Saturday. Represented by Deputy Senate President, Jibrin Barau, Tinubu assured Nigerians of adequate funding for the development of education.
Tinubu emphasized his administration’s resolve to enhance the quality of education in Nigeria, aiming to ensure that every deserving student in every state has access to tertiary education loans. He conveyed congratulations to the graduating students of the university for their successful completion of studies.
Acknowledging the challenges faced by the nation, Tinubu expressed sympathy to the families of two traditional rulers reportedly killed by suspected kidnappers. He assured the public that the government is dedicated to apprehending and prosecuting the perpetrators of such heinous crimes, demonstrating a commitment to ensuring justice and security in the country.
In his address, the Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji, commended the management of the university for the achievement they have made within few years of the establishment of the institution.
