Tinubu Orders Withdrawal Of 24-Year-Old Kashim’s Nomination As FERMA Chairman

In an unexpected development on Thursday, President Bola Tinubu made a surprising decision by ordering the removal of Engr Imam Kashim Imam from his nominated position. Imam had previously been chosen to assume the role of Chairman of the Board of Directors at the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA). The announcement of Imam’s withdrawal was officially conveyed in a statement issued by Ajuri Ngelale, who serves as the Media Aide to the President. This directive took immediate effect.

Ajuri clarified that this decision specifically pertained to Imam’s appointment and would not impact the appointments of other individuals to the board or the executive management team of FERMA.

Recall that there had been backlash on the Federal Government for appointing Imam, believed to be 24 years old, into the board of FERMA.

There was no specific reasons he presidency ordered the withdrawal of the nomination.
