In March 2023, the Continuing Legal Education Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association announced that it had organized a discounted membership and certification training for its members leading up to admission as members of the Compliance institute of Nigeria (CIN). The training was provided at an amazing discount rate of 33% to the members of the Lagos Branch of the NBA. For the DCP certification, Lawyers who subscribed for the training paid N50, 000. 00 instead of the standard rate of N75, 000. 00. This all inclusive cost covered the cost of examination materials, training and one year membership fee.

Speaking to our correspondent after the 1st stream of the training was conducted on the 29th of April 2023, the Chairman of the Continuing Legal Education Committee of NBA (Lagos Branch) Mr. Olumayowa Owolabi thanked the board of the institute for agreeing to offer the training at a discount and urged all interested members of the branch to take advantage of the 2nd and 3rd streams of the training which are slated for June and August 2023 respectively. A total number of seventy six (76) members registered for the 1st stream and upon successfully completion of the post training assessment later this month will be inducted as members of the Institute in December 2024.
