Suspended CBN Governor, Emefiele Pleads Not Guilty To Unlawful Possession Of Firearm

Godwin Emefiele, the Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) suspended governor, entered a not guilty plea to the Ministry of Justice’s charge of illegal firearm possession on Tuesday in front of a Federal High Court in Lagos.

Emefiele had arrived for his alleged gun possession trial at the Federal High Court in Lagos to appear on a two-count charge of illegally having a single-barrel shotgun (JOJEFF MAGNUM 8371), the embattled head of the apex bank came before the Lawyerss did.

He was arraigned on a two-count charge bordering on unlicenced possession of firearms.
