Abiodun Olubitan is the Head of SME Banking at Access Bank PLC, where she spearheads strategic initiatives to empower small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) throughout Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa. Through her visionary leadership, the SME Banking division drives economic growth by providing innovative banking solutions, enhancing business banking services, and creating sustainable financial opportunities for entrepreneurs.
Previously, Abiodun served as the Head of the W Initiative, where she pioneered programs aimed at empowering women entrepreneurs by providing improved access to financing, capacity-building resources, and expanding market opportunities. Her efforts extended across 12 African subsidiaries of Access Bank, establishing sustainable initiatives that promote women’s economic empowerment in line with global best practices.
Her impressive academic credentials include an MBA in Management from the University of Port Harcourt, a Chartered Banker MBA from Bangor Business School, UK, and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Technology Minna, Nigeria. Abiodun is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria and has completed numerous Executive Management Development Programmes in leading institutions.
