With over 30 years of practical experience in all aspects of Intellectual Property (IP) law, Chinyere Okorocha has earned her place as a trailblazer and influential leader within the legal industry. She currently advises and manages the IP portfolios of several blue-chip companies, providing top-tier legal expertise to her clients.
Chinyere has previously served as the Chairperson of the IP Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association, Section on Business Law. She is a Patron of The Law Society, Faculty of Law, University of Lagos, a member of the IP Law Association of Nigeria (IPLAN) Stakeholders Committee, and a member of the Dispute Resolution Panel of the Nigerian Copyright Commission (NCC). Additionally, she is a columnist for the IP Section of ESQ Legal Practice Magazine.
Her accolades include being listed as one of Nigeria’s 50 Most Influential Women in the Legal Profession by Business Day Newspaper (April 2011), featuring in the Trademark Law Practitioners Expert Guides (2012 – 2014), and being recognized as an “IP Star” in Managing IP’s Definitive Guide to Leading IP Lawyers (2014-2015).
Beyond her impressive professional journey, Chinyere has successfully organized and facilitated numerous seminars and workshops on IP, both locally and internationally. She continues to inspire with her dedication, knowledge, and passion for Intellectual Property Law.
