Nigeria’s Minister of Women Affairs, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, has declared support for the push to increase the number of women in parliament.
During a solidarity visit to the National Assembly and the gender desk of the House of Representatives, the Minister said advocacy and lobbying would continue until every lawmaker is engaged and convinced to support the effort.
Her visit comes ahead of next week’s consideration of the constitutional amendment bills. She described increased women representation as renewed hope for the nation and a step toward building a stronger, more inclusive platform for national decision-making.
