Sofunde, Osakwe, Ogundipe & Belgore (SOOB LAW) has announced the admission of Mr. Lateef Omoyemi Akangbe, SAN, into ICC FraudNet, a prestigious invitation-only network of leading independent lawyers specialising in commercial fraud and asset recovery. The network, which operates under the auspices of the , is globally recognised for its expertise in tracing and recovering assets across multiple jurisdictions and has been ranked Band 1 by Chambers and Partners for fraud and asset recovery services.
With his admission, Akangbe becomes one of only two substantive Nigerian members of ICC FraudNet, alongside , while now assumes emeritus status within the network. Organised under the auspices of the Paris-based International Chambers of Commerce (ICC), ICC FraudNet has 128 members across 82 countries and 9 Strategic Members offering a full range of services to victims of fraud to assist in the recovery of assets and lost value
With this achievement, Mr Akangbe becomes one of only two substantive Nigerians in the network – Ayodele Akintunde, SAN with Babajide Ogundipe, the first Nigerian member of the network, moving to the rank of an emeritus member of the network.
This appointment is not only a testament to Mr Akangbe’s excellence, integrity, and outstanding expertise in complex dispute resolution and asset recovery, but also a reflection of the growing global recognition of Nigerian legal talent.
