On Wednesday, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, the senator representing Kogi Central, formally submitted a petition to the Senate, accusing Senate President Godswill Akpabio of sexual harassment.
Speaking under Order 40 of the Senate Rules, Akpoti-Uduaghan reminded the Senate that she had previously discussed the allegations in an interview on Arise TV. However, she chose to present the charges officially in the Senate chamber.
In response, Senate President Akpabio gave Akpoti-Uduaghan the go-ahead to proceed with her submission, which she did accordingly.
