The Senate adjourned its plenary session on Tuesday to July 2, 2024, to allow lawmakers to participate in activities marking the 2024 Democracy Day and to take their end-of-session break.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio made the announcement during the plenary session.
This adjournment comes as the 10th National Assembly approaches its one-year anniversary on Thursday, June 13.
Before adjourning, the Senate approved a total budget of N1.911 trillion for the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) for the year 2024. The budget approval followed the consideration of a report by the Senate committee on NDDC.
