Sallah: PDP Charges Tinubu to Improve Nigerians’ Welfare

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Friday urged President Bola Tinubu to show greater commitment to the welfare of Nigerians.

The party made the call in its Eid-el-Kabir message and signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba.

The PDP also charged the Federal Government to end what it described as wasteful spending, exploitation, dishonesty, and manipulative practices that have caused hardship in the country.

The party read: “The Peoples Democratic Party congratulates Nigerians on the celebration of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, urging them to use the occasion to reinforce their faith in the unfailing love, kindness and provision of the Almighty Allah despite the prevailing economic, security and social challenges confronting our nation.”

“Our party is deeply disturbed by the pervading sense of gloom in the country; the worsening insecurity where our nation has become a large killing field with citizens left at the mercies of terrorists, bandits and marauders; the unbearable economic hardship and agonizing life-discounting experiences all resulting from the reckless mismanagement of national resources by the insensitive APC administration.”

“The PDP tasks the APC administration to use the occasion of the Eid-el-Kabir as a turning point to revamp the productive sector and cause a healing in the nation by ending its corruption and reviewing all anti-people policies to, among other things, reduce the cost of fuel, electricity tariff and charges on critical services.”
