Speaking at the public presentation of the books, the Chief Judge of Rivers State, Hon. Justice Simeon Chibuzor Amadi DSSRS, noted that the books provide practical and scholarly guidance that will help reduce errors in criminal justice administration and strengthen public confidence in the judicial process.
According to him, the publications are carefully researched works dedicated to simplifying and illuminating the principles and procedures governing criminal appeals. He stated that they would become indispensable reference materials for judges, legal practitioners, academics, jurists, law students, and all stakeholders in the justice sector.
Also delivering goodwill remarks, the President of the Customary Court of Appeal, Rivers State, Hon. Justice Iheanacho Wilfred Obuzor, described the books as timely resources that would equip young lawyers with a better understanding of criminal appeal procedures.
Justice Obuzor commended Mrs. Eke for her commitment to knowledge-sharing, stating that the publications would stand as enduring legacies of her dedication to intellectual development, professional excellence, and service to humanity. He further praised her leadership of the Bar, describing it as one marked by diligence, vision, resilience, and unwavering commitment to the ideals of the legal profession.
The event, which attracted an impressive gathering of judicial officers, senior advocates, academics, and members of the Bar, was chaired by Hon. Justice Adolphus Enebeli (Rtd.). Among the distinguished guests were the Presiding Justice of the Port Harcourt Division of the Court of Appeal, Hon. Justice Oluwayemisi Williams-Dawodu, the First National Vice President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Mr. Sabastine Anya, Esq.; and the Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary, Rivers State Ministry of Justice, Dr. Vera Sam-Dike, all of whom applauded the author.
The books were reviewed by Dr. Obraori Peters Adiela and Dr. Orowhuo Okocha, both of whom commended the publications for their practical relevance, scholarly depth, and significant contribution to legal education and practice.
