The President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Mr. Yakubu Chonoko Maikyau, OON, SAN has called for Memoranda on the Review of Remuneration of Judicial Officers.
This was contained in a statement sent to Lawhauz by the National Publicity Secretary, Akorede Habeeb Lawal today.
According to the statement, members are requested to send in their memoranda, information and/or opinions with particular respect to the remuneration of judicial officers.

Call for Memoranda on the Review of Remuneration of Judicial Officers

The President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Mr. Yakubu Chonoko Maikyau, OON, SAN has been at the forefront of the campaign for better remuneration of Nigerian judicial officers. Following this campaign, a process is ongoing for an upward review of the salaries and allowances of judicial officers.
Consequently, the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) requests memoranda, information and/or opinions from members of the NBA with respect to the remuneration of public, political and judicial office holders in the country.
Members are by this Notice, requested to send in their memoranda, information and/or opinions with particular respect to the remuneration of judicial officers.
The memoranda, information and/or opinions are to be sent to the President through; grace.igyo@nigerianbar.org.ng. All communications in this regard must be sent in by close of work on Friday, 2nd December 2022.
