The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has officially commenced regular registration for its 2025 Annual General Conference (AGC), slated to take place in the bustling city of Enugu. Themed “Stand Out, Stand Tall,” the conference is expected to draw thousands of legal professionals from across Nigeria and beyond. Registration is open from April 1 to June 30, 2025, giving prospective participants ample time to secure their spots for the much-anticipated legal gathering.
In a bid to promote inclusivity and encourage participation across all categories of legal practitioners, the NBA has released a tiered registration fee structure. Young lawyers with 1-9 years of post-call experience are required to pay ₦50,000, while those with 10-19 years and 20 years and above are to pay ₦100,000 and ₦150,000 respectively. Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SANs), Attorneys General, and members of the Bench are to pay ₦350,000, while Magistrates and Judges/Khadis will pay ₦75,000 and ₦100,000 respectively.
Interestingly, non-lawyers can also participate in the conference with a registration fee of ₦150,000. International delegates who wish to attend in person are required to pay $500, while those participating virtually will pay a reduced rate of $100. This global outreach underscores the NBA’s commitment to fostering international collaboration and cross-border legal exchange.
A special consideration has been made for senior lawyers aged 70 years and above with over 40 years of post-call experience, who will only pay ₦100,000. Furthermore, to encourage greater access, virtual participation for Nigerian lawyers with 1-2 years of experience and for those aged 70 and above is entirely free. This move reflects the NBA’s recognition of both young and senior members of the profession and its efforts to accommodate varying financial capacities.
To register, participants are encouraged to visit the official NBA registration portal at https://agc.nigerianbar.org.ng/register/event or scan the QR code provided in promotional materials. As excitement builds towards the 2025 AGC, the NBA reiterates its commitment to organizing a world-class event that will offer meaningful dialogue, networking opportunities, and professional development for legal practitioners across the spectrum.
