Puff Daddy’s Time in Prison Extended Following Misconduct

Hip hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, aka Puff Daddy, will remain behind bars longer than expected after reports surfaced that he allegedly broke multiple prison rules.

Per reports in the American media on Thursday, federal inmate records show his release date has been pushed from May 8, 2028, to June 4, 2028, according to People.

The reason for the delay has not been officially confirmed, but it follows claims of infractions at the Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix, New Jersey, where Combs has been serving his sentence since September 2024.

Shortly after his transfer from Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, TMZ reported that Combs consumed homemade alcohol brewed from Fanta, sugar, and apples left to ferment. His spokesperson denied the claim, asserting he remains committed to sobriety.

More recently, CBS News reported that Combs participated in a three-way phone call, which is prohibited in the prison. Officials considered restricting his phone access, but his representative stated no formal rules were violated.

Combs was sentenced in October 2024 to 50 months in prison after being convicted in July 2024 on two counts of transporting individuals to engage in prostitution.
