Prosecute Oil Thieves, Former Speaker House of Reps Tells Tinubu

Yakubu Dogara, a former House of Representatives speaker, has urged President Bola Tinubu to investigate and prosecute oil cabals.

Speaking outside of a church service in Kaduna state honoring Reverend Yunusa Nmadu, the departing general secretary of Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), the former Speaker said that the President has so far shown leadership and deserves praise from all citizens.

But he urged that the President should see to it that the oil cabals pay back all the money that has been stolen.

In addition, Dogara praised the President for the selection of new service chiefs, pointing out that Tinubu had shown leadership by guiding every region regardless of party, ethnicity, or religion.

On their part, the ECWA General Secretary, Reverend Yunusa Nmadu; and the Senator representing Southern Kaduna, Sunday Katung also commended the President on the appointment of the new service chiefs, which according to them, is a demonstration of equity and justice.

They, however, urged the new service chiefs to address issue of insecurity, ravaging the country, particularly in the northern region , just as they called on the President to provide palliatives to cushion the effects of the fuel subsidy removal.
