The Nigerian Bar Association Institute of Continuing Legal Education (NBA-ICLE) has announced its upcoming Intellectual Property Law and Practice Training for all lawyers in Anambra State.
The NBA-ICLE has been at the forefront of capacity development for lawyers through intensive training in diverse areas of legal practice offered by accomplished facilitators in various fields of legal practice.
In the tradition of offering the very best, the NBA-ICLE has enlisted Prof. Bankole Sodipo SAN, an accomplished academic and an astute Intellectual Property Lawyer to headline the training. On the heels of Prof. Sodipo SAN, a top player in the technology, media, and entertainment law sectors, Ngozi Aderibigbe, who is also a partner in one of Nigeria’s leading IP law and practice firms, Jackson, Etti & Edu, Chinasa Uwanna, a seasoned expert in IP law and renowned speaker/author on IP and ancillary issues in Africa, and a host of IP law experts are also billed to facilitate the training.
Commenting on the rationale for targeting lawyers in Anambra State, the Chairman of the NBA-ICLE, Mr. Tobenna Erojikwe, remarked that “Lawyers in Anambra have proven their relevance to the development of Intellectual Property Law & Practice in Nigeria.”
While thanking the Chairman and Executive members of the Nigerian Bar Association Onitsha Branch for their support for the training, which comes at no cost to the attendees, Erojikwe remarked that *“No expense should be spared in giving lawyers in Anambra State the requisite training needed to continue to aid their enviable contributions to the growth of IP law and practice in Nigeria”*
Calling on all lawyers in Anambra State to take advantage of the valuable training, which comes at zero cost to the trainees, Erojikwe hinted that the training will cover key topics in intellectual property law, including trademarks, patents, copyrights, and trade secrets.
The Intellectual Property Law and Practice Training is privately sponsored by NBA-ICLE Chairman Tobenna Erojikwe and is scheduled to take place on Thursday, March 7, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Sir Louis Mbanefo Bar Centre, High Court Complex, Enugu Road, Onitsha.
