President Tinubu Announces Fuel Subsidy Removal

In his first day in office, President Bola Tinubu made a significant policy announcement by announcing the end of fuel subsidies.

In his inaugural speech on Monday at Eagles Square, Tinubu stated that there is no provision for a subsidy in the budget that is left for him.

He further stated that subsidy on fuel products, especially petrol, cannot be sustained or paid for, adding that the money used for subsidy will now be channeled to better uses for the benefit of Nigerians.
