President Buhari Signs Nigeria Startup Bill Into Law

President Muhammadu Buhari today signed the Nigeria Startup Bill (NSB) into law.

The announcement was made by minister of communications and digital economy Isa Pantami, who shared on Twitter that Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari, has signed the bill into law.

This information was released a year after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) and the Presidency initially received the draft bill. It also took place after three months after the bill was approved by the Nigerian senate.

Nigeria’s tech ecosystem should soon experience improved enabling conditions thanks to the new Act. Nigerian IT firms struggle with a number of legal obstacles, a lack of necessities like a reliable power supply, and a lack of funding.
