The Police in Anambra State has confirmed the attack on the convoy of the Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial Zone, Ifeanyi Ubah.
Ubah’s convoy was ambushed by gunmen at Nkwo Enugu Ukwu, Njikoka local government area of the state at about 5 pm on Sunday.
Confirming the incident, the Spokesman of the Police Command, Ikenga Tochukwu, said the Commissioner of Police Anambra State Command CP Echeng Echeng, is leading operatives to the scene where sporadically shootings took place in Enugu Ukwu
“Though the details of the incident is still sketchy, operatives are on ground there as operations are going on and the situation is being monitored.
“Further details shall be communicated please.”
